Insects Introduction

Insects can be both detrimental and beneficial to cucurbit production.  Insects are responsible for pollination that is needed to obtain good yields of quality fruit.  Other insects can be injurious to seedlings, vines and fruit.  By learning to recognize and distinguish beneficial and pest insects one can learn to manage these to optimize production and minimize damage from pests.
