2005

2006-   Two cultivars of southern peas (cowpeas) are being grown using practices that comply with the National Organic Program for certified organic vegetable production.  Soil fertility is being supplied by poultry litter and lime.  The cultivars used are Pinkeye Purple Hull BVR, which is an indeterminate type, and Top Pick Pinkeye, a determinate type.  Weed were controled by cultivation and hoeing.
