CURRENT PROJECTS:

IPM programs for vegetable crops: Develop integrated pest management systems for insect pests of vegetable crops.

Toxicology of pesticides: Develop profiles of activity of new and alternative insecticides for use in controlling the common and key pests of vegetable crops in the south central U.S. Determine toxicological properties of insecticides on populations of pest insects. Determine effects of temperature on toxicological activity of insecticides. Evaluate newly developed insecticides for use on vegetable crops.

Education programs: Develop commercial vegetable IPM education materials and provide training for producers and county extension agents.
