OSU, along with the Noble Foundation, and the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, are combining efforts to provide the 2008 Oklahoma Market Gardening School. The eight-week course is scheduled to begin Sept. 30 and run weekly on Tuesday evenings through Nov. 18. The class will meet weekly at OSU-OKC and is geared toward established growers and those who are interested in exploring this enterprise. The concept of the class is to familiarize current and future fresh market producers with management, production, and marketing techniques for fresh produce. Registration is $60 per person. On-line registration is available at http://orangehub.okstate.edu/ustores/web/index.jsp. Click on the “Horticulture/Landscape” link.
